LeadPoint Digital recently promoted two industry leaders to elevated roles within the Roanoke-based digital marketing agency.

Carrie Cousins, who has been with LeadPoint since 2021, has been promoted to Vice President.

Matt Brown, who joined the company in 2022, is the new Director of Account Management.

“Carrie and Matt are not only leaders in the industry but have helped LeadPoint Digital grow to the place it is today,” said Brad Timofeev, Managing Partner of LeadPoint Digital. “Their experience is an immeasurable value for our clients.”

“Watching this team grow together to build a strong company and culture while serving digital marketing clients across the country is something special,” said Steve Timofeev, President of LeadPoint Digital. “We’re lucky to have some of the region’s best talent on our team.”

Cousins is a recognized marketing leader with interdisciplinary experience in marketing, writing, design, and media. Has more than 15 years of experience helping businesses tell their stories and get better results online with practical digital marketing strategies.

She has built several award-winning marketing programs including LeadPoint Digital, which are consistently recognized as best in class in the industry. She holds awards from PRSA Blue Ridge, American Advertising Federation (AAF), and Outdoor Media Summit that celebrate her expertise and business acumen. As a writer, her work has been featured in publications such as Design Shack, Webdesigner Depot, The Next Web, and Fast Company.

In addition to her work at LeadPoint, Carrie is past president of AAF Roanoke and current Lt. Governor of District 3 (serving Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina). She has been featured on Blue Ridge PBS and nationally on Buzz4Good, where she helps nonprofits get more from their marketing efforts. Cousins is also an adjunct professor at the School of Communication at Virginia Tech. She holds an MBA and BA in Communication from Virginia Tech, is a Certified Digital Consultant, and boasts Google and Facebook Community Marketing certifications.

Brown has more than 20 years of experience in design, art direction, marketing, promotions, project management and social media. Matt has experience working with clients in the heavy equipment industry including Caterpillar and SITECH. He works with clients to optimize their online presence through SEO, SEM, and strategic email marketing campaigns for targeted audience engagement. His wide range of experience and customer-centric approach make him a client’s best advocate. He also consults with clients on website design, development, and maintenance to ensure adherence to brand standards.

Prior to joining LeadPoint, Brown spent seven years at a local agency as an art director guiding client creative projects. He spent 13 years in the newspaper industry where he held a variety of positions, including creative director of the advertising design department and creative director of their recreation/lifestyle magazine.

Brown is a graduate of Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He is a longtime member, and past president, of the Roanoke chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). He is also a former two-time governor of Virginia for AAF and in 2015 was named National President of the Year by AAF.
