Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist is part of the production team for LeadPoint’s digital marketing programs. The Digital Marketing Specialist role performs activities such as SEO, Digital Advertising, Email Marketing, Email Workflows, and Content Management.

This is an entry role, requiring minimal experience with broad-based on-the-job training. It is ideal for anyone for recent graduates to those with 3-5 years of general marketing experience. Although a DMS may specialize in a particular activity, they are responsible for helping with all other activities listed. This role reports to Account Managers and the Director of Account Management.

Responsibilities

Search Engine Optimization

  • Improve keyword densities utilizing our 11-point process
  • Organic link building
  • SEO writing
  • Keyword research and selection
  • Local profile management and optimization
  • Content posting

Digital Advertising

  • Ad writing
  • Keyword research and selection
  • Budget management
  • Landing page ownership and continuous improvement

Email Marketing

  • HTML email development using various email service providers
  • List building and segmenting
  • KPI tracking and measurement

Social Media Management

  • Post writing, image creation or editing, and scheduling for primary platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Description writing, image card creation or editing, and optimization for YouTube
  • Post writing, image creation or editing, and scheduling for other/emerging platforms
  • Monitoring comments and messages needing client attention

Digital Content Management

  • Update and edit website content as needed for client work (WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, etc.)
  • Create landing pages for client websites
  • Load content for new client website projects

Digital Marketing Reporting

  • Read and understand client marketing dashboard to make recommendations for Account Managers
  • Use tools such as SEM Rush to track SEO and keyword performance
  • Maintain lists for clients, such as media mentions

Team Synergy

  • Communicate progress and status of tasks with the Account Managers
  • Schedule monthly meeting with Account Managers and LPD Vice President (optional, but encouraged)
  • Perform other tasks as needed from Account Managers
  • Coordinate and consult with other Digital Marketing Specialists, Writers, Designers, and Developers
  • Continuously evolve knowledge of online user behavior, digital marketing, and client industries

Digital Marketing Intern

The Digital Marketing Intern is part of the production team for LeadPoint’s digital marketing programs. The Digital Marketing Intern role performs activities such as Digital Advertising Research and Writing, Email Marketing, Social Media Content Creation, and Website Content Management.

This is temporary role, requiring minimal experience with broad-based on-the-job training. It is ideal for college students enrolled in communications or marketing programs as well as recent graduates. Internships are offered on a rolling basis and generally last 90-180 days. This role reports to Account Managers.

Front End Developer

The Front End Developer is part of the production team at LeadPoint Digital. The Front End Developer will build and maintain client websites on a modern WordPress development stack, translating designs from Figma into polished, responsive sites

This role is ideal for anyone from recent graduates to those with 3-5 years of development experience that has a keen eye for details. You’ll work alongside other developers, a designer, a marketing specialist, and a project manager. This role reports to the Director of Technology.

Responsibilities

Development & Maintenance

  • Build responsive WordPress websites from Figma designs using our modern development framework.
  • Develop custom blocks, templates, and page layouts within WordPress.
  • Maintain and improve existing client websites, handling ongoing tasks and feature requests.
  • Ensure websites meet standards for security, performance, accessibility, and SEO.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate progress on projects to the team and flag blockers early.
  • Contribute to improving internal development processes and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support client goals through website improvements.

Team Synergy

  • Communicate progress and status of tasks with the Account Managers.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate and consult with Digital Marketing Specialists, Writers, Designers, and Developers.
  • Continuously evolve knowledge of online user behavior, digital marketing, and client industries.

Qualifications and Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building websites on WordPress.
  • Comfortable working with Git for version control.
  • Ability to take a Figma design and build it into a functional, responsive website.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team member.

Preferred

  • 2+ years of WordPress development experience.
  • Familiarity with PHP in a WordPress context (theme development, template logic, plugin customization).
  • Awareness of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
  • Experience with Shopify.
  • Experience with WordPress plugin development.
